Question
Hi, Wayne

Nice to meet you. Could you kindly give me some advice on this issue?

System: Windows 2000
Tool: Adobe FrameMaker+SGML 6.0
Printer: Acrobat Distiller 6.0

The bullets (leading paragraphes) and some other symbals (such as arrow) can not be printed into PDF, while they look regular in framemaker files.
All the symbals are in font of ZapfDingbats.

I thought it may be related to font conflict (same fonts both in .ttf and .pfb are installed in OS), but I can not solve this problem completely.

I hope I've made me unstood already, Waiting for your responce sincerely.

Thanks with best regards.

I am probably not much help on this problem as so many different things can cause this problem.
You might try the following:
1. Start your Framemaker Application in FrameMaker - Not Structured Framemaker. You can do this by going to the Frame Menu Bar - Select File - Preferences - General - then at the bottom of the Pop-up Menu, next to "Product Interface" Select Framemaker. Close the application and - then restart for the new setting to be effective and try saving your document as a pdf.

2. Try printing the file first as postscript (.ps) from Framemaker and then converting it to pdf. If you do not understand how to do this then email me and I will send you a pdf file which illustrates how to do it.

3. Send me the file that is giving you the problem and I will see what happens on my machine: I am using Windows XP Frame 7, Distiller 5.0

Be sure to put Framemaker in the Subject Line.
