Adobe Framemaker/Framemaker Autoconnect Not Working

Question
QUESTION: Autoconnect is on for 4 master pages. Recently this has stopped working. Now, when adding more text than fits into a frame, the solid overflow line appears at the bottom of that frame and no extra pages are automatically created. I've used workarounds for a while, but now I have an 800-page document to compile from multiple sources. Even if I use many chapters, I'll still run into this problem too often to tolerate. Any idea how can I solve it? Thanks.

ANSWER: Karen - Without seeing your document, I am only guessing.
My best guess is some how you have inserted a disconnected pages at various locations into your document or one of your master pages has "lost" it's connection.
Send me a small part of your document which has the disconnected pages and I can take a look at it.
Make sure your file is in Framemaker 7

QUESTION: Hi Wayne,

Sorry I am on FM9 and no longer have a v7 around to save to. Can I save down to v7 from MIF?

Your thought on a disconnected page is a possibility. If a disconnected page was inserted, then I performed a connect text frames action, would Frame still think it's disconnected? Would it matter if that disconnected page was in the source document or the one into which text was being copied? Thanks again.

Answer
Karen - One of the the selections with Frame 9 is you can "save as" Frame 7 or "save as" a mif file and I should be able to open it.
Once you do a "connect" on disconnected pages then they will be "connected" for good.
If you import into the file that has the disconnected pages then they will still be disconnected and you will see the overflow line at the bottom of the page.
If your file contains a table and 1 cell contains too much information to fit onto 1 page, you have to manually break the cell, at least in Frame 7. This is the one feature of tables where Word is much better. Frame will not break a cell across a page.
