Question When generating a Standard Index(IX) for a BOOK, the "pagenum" becomes Hot Zone, which responds mouse click on them and then jump to certain pages, automaticly.
But the Hot Zones display differently.
Some of them are on the pagenumber only, Some of them start from pagenumber to the end of line, Some of them through the whole line ..
My question is
How can I set the hot zone through the whole line?
PS: a line looks like ..
<My Chapter>, 12
"My Chaper" is some Chinese Characters, and there is a "," behind it.
Waiting for answer, sincerely ..
Thank you a lot with best wishes^^
Answer If it only happens wth your chinese characters and they are a "graphic" versus "Text" then the Chinese Characters may be "blocking" the "hot zone" from extending through the whole line.
Try the following:
1. On a line where only the number is a "hotspot" delete your current Index marker and then Select the whole line and then apply your Index Marker.
2. Remove the Index Marker then place your cursor at the very beginning and then apply your Index Marker.
3. Remove the Index Marker then place your cursor at the end of the line (just before the paragraph mark), and then apply your Index Marker.
If one of the 3 above does not work for you, send me your index and one of the chapters that has an Index Marker that is giving you the problem and I will take a look at it.

Be sure you put Framemaker in the Subject Area.
