Question
I'm trying to make Spot-Color Seps using Adobe Illustrator CS3 and print them on my (Postscript)HP LaserJet 3015.  I've read the others, but when I click "Output", the MODE and PPD boxes are unavailable (Greyed Out), so I can't choose Color Separations.

Answer
Hi Jeff,

I have the same printer and I have no problems outputting separations to my 3015. Sounds silly but choose another printer in the pulldown and then reselect your 3015. Sometimes that is all it takes. If not,  go to the HP website and  check to make sure you have downloaded the most updated print driver.

Since your PPD is greyed out, it leads me to believe that it is definitely a printer issue and not from Illustrator. So hopefully there is a newer driver that can solve your issue.

Thanks

Kevin
