Adobe Illustrator/printing business cards

Question
Several months ago I hired someone to do some graphics for me (brochures and business cards) in Illustrator CS2. She printed out some of the cards for me and also sent me .PDFs. She's no longer around and I need to reprint the cards. The .PDFs are only of a single image, but of course the card stock is for about 30 cards/page. How can I print these cards out properly? I have Illustrator CS2 on my PC, but I don't have any of the source images, only the PDFs that she created.

Thanks,

Steve

Answer
Hi Steve,

The PDF files you have is actually able to be opened in Adobe Illustrator.

First you will need to create a document the size of your page. You then open the individual file, go to File>open in Illustrator or right click on the document and choose Illustrator to open the file.

Then you can copy and paste multiple copies into the new document and then print them out. I like to use guides to make sure it fits inside the printed card area and you can add crop marks by hand using the line or pen tools.

(You can do the same thing by placing the pdf into InDesign if you have that as well.)

If you need further explanation, let me know.
