Adobe Illustrator/Bounding box issues

Question
When printing from illustrator, the psd files within the document are showing their bounding boxes when printed on paper.

How do i get ride of bounding box outlines if they are no strokes on them, and are still coming up when printed.

Answer
Hi Melissa -

Sounds like you are printing to a raster device and the images are being flattened poorly during printing. Raster settings for flattening is controlled in the Print Dialog (Advanced tab). With non postscript printers, you can choose to print as bitmap - and set the raster quality to high... that might help.

But ideally, because you are dealing with PSD/transparency, I suggest that you flatten the file before printing.

If you don't know how to do this, you can follow the instructions for flattening found in Illy's HELP files... look under "Printing and saving transparent artwork"

If you are printing to a Canon postscript printer, there's a bug with a few printers Pantone matching feature... you need to turn that off under Print > Printer Custom settings.

It most likely has nothing to do with your placed artwork, just so you know!
