Question
I am trying to print a 13 inch tall by 63 inch long banner on my Epson 4800 using the Illustrator CS software.  I am using windows vista.  The illustrator print preview shows the whole 63 inch long banner.  When I print, the epson print preview pops up and shows only 46 inches of the banner and the remaining 17 inches blank (cut off).  When I print, the job reflects the epson print preview with 46 inches of banner and 17 inches blank.  Is there a maximum print length for the illustrator software or is this a printer issue?  Either way, is there a way to print out my entire 63 inch banner as shown in illustrator?

Thanks.

Answer
Hi Pat,

This sounds like your printer. However, you can set up a custom print size under the print window. Once in the print window, go to the printer button at the bottom and you should be able to create a custom page size for your printer. (or go to the printer control panel).

This will allow you to print on a long sheet rather than cut off. If you cannot go that large, check your print manual, it may have a limitation on how long you can print with roll paper.

Thanks

Kevin
