Question
I have created a document in illustrator and want to be sure it prints as black and white only.  How do I make sure I have converted it to grayscale?  Should I do it in illustrator or in Adobe? How do I do it?

Answer
Hi Michele,
The method to change your Illustrator artwork to grayscale depends on what version of Illustrator you have. You didn't mention that in your question so I'll write you both.

In CS2:
1. Select all the objects in your artwork
2.Select "Filter>Color>Convert to Graysale" from the top menu.

In CS3:
1. Select all the objects in your artwork
2.Select "Edit>Edit colors>Convert to Graysale" from the top menu.

To get more control over converting your artwork to grayscale, here's a link that I think will be very helpful:

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be glad to help.

Best regards,
