Question
I have created a brochure which I want to send out via email. I have enclosed my email address at the bottom of the brochure. Is there a way to make it a  hyper link so someone can click on it and then send me an email?

Answer
HI Patti,

To create a hyperlink type button in a pdf format, you will need a full copy of Acrobat. In Acrobat, you can designate your e-mail address as a hyperlinked item that you can include in the doc.

You will use the link tool in Acrobat.

Choose Tools > Advanced Editing > Link Tool, or select the Link tool  on the Advanced Editing toolbar.

Select the text you want to link (your e-mail) by surrounding with this tool.

In the Create Link dialog box, choose the options you want for the link appearance, in this case, the proper code would be a web page "mailto:yourname@yourdomain".

Thanks

Kevin
