My Illustator cs2 crashes when I try to open a new file.  How do I fix it?

Answer
Hi Anjali,

First, check your available RAM and make sure you have enough memory available.

Then check to make sure you have run all updates from Adobe.

Next, reset AI by holding down ctrl+alt+shift+cmd when starting up the app.

Finally, check your install and if needed, reinstall a clean version of CS2. This means uninstalling everything and reinstalling, not just trying to overwrite the old AI app.

Try each one first before moving on to the next.
