Adobe Illustrator/white border around jpeg

Question
how do i get rid of the white border around my image when eexporting from illustrator, i have drop shadow, blur etc but i have put a coloured border around it but i still get a white border of about10cm

Hi PS,

The white border is from one of two things. Either you have a white stroke going around your image that you can remove in the stroke palette, or your page size is 10 cm larger than your image and you should either change your page size, or enlarge your graphics.
