Adobe Illustrator/Illustrator crashes while opening

Question
Hello,
I am having a problem with my Illustrator CS. What I think may have caused it
was adding a symbol from tutorial disk. I came up with action script errors in
the console log. I have tried reinstalling and still I can not fully open Illustrator. I
am on a G5 PowerPC. Any thoughts?
Hi Deb,
Reset your AI by holding shift+opt+apple+ctrl right after you double click the app icon.
That should remove the offending symbol or scripts and reset back to install defaults. Reinstalling does not remove these things.
