Adobe Illustrator/New label

Question
HI,

A graphic designer created a label for my salt company using Ai.  After creating 9 versions of the same label for
each specific salt, he gave me the files on CD.  All the files are the same, with the exception of each having a
different name and a blurb about what I recommend each salt go with.

Now I need to duplicate one of these labels, and only need to change the name of the salt and the food blurb.

However, I am new to Adobe Illustrator and don't know if it's as easy as cutting and pasting a new font directly into
the old psd files.  Do I need to start from scratch?

Help!

Thanks,

Janna

Answer
Hi Janna,

First, if this was created in AI, you should use AI to edit them, not Photoshop. IIt is just as easy as deleting the old type from the existing label and pasting in new copy for the new label. Just be sure to choose File>save as when you are done to rename the label and not save over the original. You do not need to start from scratch.

Thanks
