Adobe Illustrator/Recipients Cannon View My EPS attachments

Question
I'm no expert in Illustrator, but ever since I upgraded from AI 10 to CS3 no one can view my EPS attachments.  I save them like I always have and then attach them to my email and send them out.  The recipient either sees absolutely nothing (no attachment at all) or they do see an attachment that just looks like a gray box.  I've resorted to sending only PDFs which do seem to work.  I do use a Mac, but I always make sure to send Windows friendly attachments.  Some of these files I've created myself in Illustrator and others have been files I've received and then saved as EPS.  Lastly, the recipients all have AI and should be able to open my files.

Answer
Tamara,

This sounds like a version issue. If you are saving your eps files as CS3 .eps they may be breaking when someone with an older version tries to open them. This would result in no preview or a gray box showing the size of the doc, but not the image. Try saving back as a CS2 eps file in your EPS options dialogue box.

Thanks

Kevin
