Adobe Illustrator/making a pdf from illustrator

Question
Please bear with me as I have very limited knowledge of Illustrator and computers in general.

I am doing business cards, flyers, labels, etc for a woman who has a non profit business out of town. For the most part I make PDF's and e-mail them so she can print them from her office. The problem is that they are printing at 93%. I believe it has to be the way I am making the PDF as when I send them to myself, they also print at 93%. I use Illustrator exclusively for my artwork and have no problems when printing directly from illustrator, and no problems when printing directly from the PDF. The reduction comes only when the PDF is e-mailed. Also, my printer is not set to 'shrink to fit'.

I am using a Mac OS X, Illustrator 10, and a Canon Pro9000.

Thank you for any insight you may have.

Linda

Answer
Hi Linda,

In your print window you have the "fit to page" option selected. You can change that to actual size and it will print fine. Fit to page is the default and is automatically on so you need to change it. It will reduce 100% pages to 93%.

Thanks

Kevin
