Adobe Illustrator/typing Thai in Adobe Illustrator

Question
Hi, I was reading over the advice of another expert Amy.  I followed her advice and got to the point of where I have the keyboard layout for Thai.  So I can type in Thai in say MS word.  But when I try to type in Thai in Adobe Illustrator I just get ?????.  What can I install so that I can type Thai into Adobe Illustrator.  I have I have Adobe Illustrator CS version 11.

Hi Diane,

Setting up your computer to recognize a Thai keyboard is the first step. In order to use Thai language in AI, you need to make sure that you have compatible fonts. However, in my research with Illustrator CS, it appears that Thai not supported, there is no language support or dictionary regarding it, which means you will have to do this on your own with a Thai font.
