Will Illustrator 8.0 load and run on windows xp?

Hi Fred,

If you can get Illustrator 8 to install, Which I've never tried to install directly onto an existing XP system (Ive upgrade a system after an install). I'm afraid it may not run on Windows XP.

I have had several clients and people on here with issues with service packs and upgrades to XP have pushed Illustrator 8 out of compliance and it no longer runs. The last version of Windows I know to be completely stable with 8 was Windows 2000.

I would suggest saving you the hassle and headaches and try to find at least a copy of CS (v.10) and that should run just fine and have better options for you as well.
