Question
I use AI cs3 convert to ver 10 then output at Photoshop cs3.After that, I found the wording are clear and the picture quite blur, Are me using the wrong formula to output the files or the picture are blur when it come?

Answer
Hi K,

If I am understanding you correctly, you are using AI CS3 to downsave to version 10, then opening in Photoshop CS3? First, you dont need to down save if that is the case AICS3 will open in PS CS3 no problem.

If you are printing for a billboard size image, your file is probably not a high enough resolution to output properly. When you bring images into Photoshop to output, you are locked in with a resolution and is no longer vector which can enlarge properly.

The reason the text is clear and the image is blurry is text is still vector in nature if you kept this as layers, but your image is rasterized.

You will need to recalculate your size and res to print something this large. Most commercial printers have a separate application to print billboards that interpolate images to enlarge, and do not output directly from an Adobe app.

Thanks
