Question
I need to know the steps to import a picture to be used as a background in which text can be typed over.  Can you provide me the steps as I am new to Adobe Illustrator CS2?

Hi Empire,

First, create your new document in AI. Then go to file>place and choose your image that you want to use as a background. Once it is placed, you can lock it if necessary (object>lock selection). Then using your type tool, you can type over the top of the image.
