Question
I'm using Adobe Illustrator CS3 and have finished my project.  When I email the results it keeps stripping out the photo that I have inserted in the project (I've designed a CD case). And I get an error message when the recipient tries to open it in AI CS3 at the other end. What am I doing wrong?

Hi John,

You have a placed image that is a linked file. When you e-mail it, the link is broken and the file does not show up.

In Illustrator, click on the image you placed inside your design and in the top option bar below the menus, click the "embed" button. But be aware this will add the size of your placed image to the overall size of the Illustrator file, which can significantly increase.

I would save a copy as a pdf when e-mailing to avoid any oversized files.
