Question
when i try to create a new document i get not enough system memory (ram) message but the problem is not there when opening an existing document i have turned off most of my fonts but the same message appeared i am running on mac 10.5.2 with 2.4Ghz and 4GB ram never had this problem before but now it is BTW i have recently installed office 2008 not sure how this can affect illustrator.

Answer
Hi Ramzi,

Normally I would say its a font issue due to the fonts installed in the system my MS office (they load up like 80 fonts in your system). Try verifying and repairing disk permissions using the disk utility. I always run that after a new install.

Thanks

Kevin
