Question
Hi, I am a small winemaker and we have a label designed in Illustrator.  The printer says it is 4-color and if we make it 2-color pantone spot we will save big on costs.  The artist says it is 2-color, but not in the right format (rgb or cmyk currently).  How do we do this?  THANKS!

Answer
Hi Jeff

You need to load up the Pantone swatches and assign them.

Go to your swatches palette option tab, or to window>swatch libraries>pantone solid coated or uncoated (depending on the finish you are using).

Click the existing objects and then assign one of the two colors.

When you save this out, there will only be two spot colors, not four process.

Thanks
