Question
I noticed you had another question like this: I have a photoshop file I've made into spot colors.  What do I need to save that in so that Illustrator will be able to place it?  Right now, I have it as a Photoshop DCS 2.0 and it's having trouble with the black.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Dana,

EPS DCS 2.0 is the format you need, you got that right.
First, you need to change the image to multichannel mode in PhotoShop.

If you continue having black issues, give me a shout at AmyLynPace@yahoo.com

I can take a look at that spot file and see what's up.

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
