Adobe Illustrator/illustrator cs2 help

Question
Hello Kevin. I have a hand inked panel that's for a company logo and I'd like it to be vectorized so I assume opening it in Illustrator cs2 would be the best option. I've barely scratched the surface trying to figure out photoshop and now looking at illustrator I'm totally confused. I've read about that live trace action, would that be my first step in this process? Sorry for being so vague with my problem. Any help would be great.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Matt,

Place your image in Illustrator using the File>Place command. Then while it is actively selected, click the Live Trace button in the top option bar. There are presets on the left you can choose from to get the best results. Once satisfied, click Expand in the option bar.

You've just turned your scan into a vector object!

Thanks

Kevin
