Adobe Illustrator/Open CS3 in CS

Question
Kevin,
I just got this symbol library that i really need to use for a personal project, but when trying to open it in AI CS, error message appears, as this library was created on CS3. Is there any way to open this file? (i have this friend with CS3 that is willing to help if possible). Thanks in advance!
Blanca

p.s. Sorry if the question is too dumb

Answer
Hi Blanca,

You will need to open up the symbol library in CS3, then drag each symbol into a document and save the document for CS. Then open the new doc in CS and reimport those objects into a new library in CS. There is no way to open a native CS3 library in CS directly.

Thanks

Kevin
