Question
I am currently trying to type set projects using pantone colors and have been confused on whether I should be able to setup a pantone color space to work in or should be just selecting the pantone colors from the swatches located in the color libraries.
I have been trying to figure out how to work with pantones, and how to view or create color seperations using pantone color space... please, any help would be appreciated. thanks so much in advance.

jeremy.

Answer
Hi Jeremy,

There is no Pantone color space in applications. You would select the pantone colors from the library in a CMYK workspace. You will be able to print separations based on these colors.

You cannot view separations in Illustrator except in the print window. However, if you pull the finished design into inDesign you can preview the separations there.

Thanks

Kevin
