how to do it  word document into illustrator

Hi Ken

First create a text box by clicking and dragging the type tool. Then, while the box is active (the cursor is blinking at the top left of the box), go to File>Place. Then select your word document and it will be placed in the box.

You can resize and edit as needed from there.
