Adobe Illustrator/Clipping mask doesn't work when making a pdf

Question
Hi there I have been using clipping masks fine in illustrator but quite often when I place the eps into indesign and export to a pdf from there -the pdf comes out with some of the clipping masks released or occasionally 1mm off. Any suggestions or reasons this might be happening?.. would be much appreciated! Cheers. Sophie

Answer
Hi Sophie,

Try saving your files as native AI files and importing them in as native files. The issue could be that you are saving as an eps and its conflicting with your pdf settings. If that doesnt work, let me know what versions of the software you are using and what settings you are using for your pdf. (preset- high quality, etc. or if custom your settings).

Thanks
