Adobe Illustrator/high reslolution

Question
I just started with illustrator, I would like to print and what kind of resolution i need? High? Is it the same if i print PDF?

Hi Sophie,

Illustrator does not require resolution. It is a vector program and does not natively create raster images. To save it as a PDF, I would use High Quality Preset for inkjet or laser printing, or Press Quality Preset for offset/commercial printing.
