Adobe Illustrator/including fonts with an Illustrator 10 file (windows)

Question
I'm new to Illustrator 10 and actually have a 2-part question:

1) I am modifying a royalty-free vector map and every time it loads it tells me I don't have Arial Narrow-Bold installed and that it is substituting a default font. That's fine by me, as the part of the file I am using doesn't have Arial Narrow-Bold. However, when I send the file to pre-press, will they complain that I haven't included a necessary font? And--since I don't have the font in question--what can I do?

2) I am supposed to include all fonts on disk with my submission; in Windows is this as simple as locating the fonts and duplicating them into a FONTS folder on the disk?

Thanks.

Answer
Hi Acton,

Arial could just be a signature or copyright text that the font is needed for. This is usually hidden far off the page. But to be sure unlock everything in your file, then do a select all, type>create outlines. This will turn all fonts into images and then you do not have to worry about fonts.

If you still need to supply fonts, then yes, duplicate the entire font family, not just the individual files to a folder along with the image.

Thanks
