How do you create a gradient that goes from a color to transparent? Thank you

Hi Jennifer,

There is no way to have a gradient go to transparency in Illustrator (yet). You can fake it by having it go to white and changing the transparency. Otherwise, InDesign does have this feature (actually its a feather gradient that you can set up overtop of a solid color), so I have used this in the past.
