I'm requesting guidance on how to edit text (add and modify) in a document.

Hi Tasha,

You will use the type tool (T) in the tool bar to select and edit text. To add text, you can either use the type tool to drag out a new text box and type freely, or go to File>Place and you can import text from a document, such as word.
