Question
QUESTION: i have an arrow that i drew in illustrator. i want to export it so i can use it in frontpage 2003. when i export it, it comes up with white on the sides (like a rectangle of white with my arrow in the middle). i just want the arrow, not the white! how do i do this? thank you

ANSWER: Hi Mordy,

You can always export this out as a png graphic. That format will support transparency and should be accepted by Frontpage, however, I am not familiar with the Microsoft web publisher at all, I am more of a dreamweaver man myself and PNG always works out ok in there.

Thanks

QUESTION: can you givE me a step by step for exporting it with a transparnt background. Thanks kevin

Answer
Hi Mordy,

Go to your file>save for web. This will open a new dialogue box with options on the right side and your image on the left. For the file format, choose PNG-8. This supports transparency. Then hit save.

When you bring it into Frontpage, it should have a transparent background.

Thanks
