Adobe Illustrator/When saving to PDF, image dissapears

Question
HI, I am using Illustrator CS3 and have created a brochure in which there is words, art and an image (jpg), when I save to PDF (with press quality settings) the image and text placed on it dissapears, yet the other artwork and text to the right of it (another layer) displays.

Please help

Answer
Hi Phil,

The reason they are disappearing could be that the images are linked, not embedded and the link is broken (missing image). Try relinking to the original images (go to Window>Links and relink).

The other option is that the layer is set to non-printing. Double click on the layer in the palette and make sure it is not set to non-printing or template.

Then try resaving as a pdf.

Thanks
