Ihave a mac pro,3GB DDR2 memory and macintosh 10.4.11. A file creat in free hand MX and save as.eps but when this file open in photoshop cs3, increasing the file resulation, photoshop quite unexpectedly.

HI Kamal,

In regards to this file and your Illustrator problem - if both applications are quitting on you upon opening a document created in another application there could be a number of things happening, but here are the most frequent problems:

1. You do not have enough active memory - 3 Gigs total does not mean you have 3 gigs available, close other applications and see what happens or check your system profile for available memory.

2. File size is too large. This is common when exporting from another application. Larger files may max out your applications memory.

3. File is corrupt or truncated (unexpected end of file). Try re-exporting from your Freehand MX application and see if it works.

4.  Install was not successful or corrupt. This mainly has to do with shared resource files with the creative suite. Try reinstalling but only after you have checked on the first three options.
