Expert: Kevin Stohlmeyer - 9/15/2008

I recently reformatted my mac, which had adobe cs2 illustrator and photoshop on it. I transferred the programs to a hard drive, and now when I try to put the program back on my computer, it doesn't work. Any hope in getting it back on?

Hi Melissa,

You will need to reinstall the applications. Dragging apps is never a good idea when reformatting because there are so many resource files hidden throughout the system that you inevitably miss something necessary. Hopefully you still have your serial numbers for these apps that you can retrieve before you reinstall.

Whenever I reformat, I always reinstall a clean version of my apps.
