Adobe Illustrator/Embedding Images

Question
I am using an image on my Illustrator file from Photoshop. When I go to the
Links menu to embed the image, the "Embed Image" is gray and it will not let
me. What do I have to do to be able to embed the image?

Thanks for your help.

Answer
Jessica,
The only time that the embed option is grayed out when an image is selected in the Links palette is when the image is already embedded. When you place the image from the File menu/Place... command there is a checkbox that allows you to Link the image file. If this option is unchecked when the image is imported the image becomes embedded.

Good Luck
