Adobe Illustrator/drop shadows using a PMS

Question
Can one create a drop shadow of type or a shape using a PMS in Illustrator or in
photoshop? And how?

Answer
Hi Sandy,

Yes you can do that in both, but Illustrator is a lot easier.

You will need to load up the PMS swatches using your swatches palette drop down (or under window>load swatch library>PMS etc.)

Then load the swatches you wish to use into your swatches palette. You can then change the color of your drop shadow by clicking on the color swatch in the drop shadow dialogue box.

Photoshop will require you to create a multichannel document with a specific PMS Spot color channel.

Thanks
