Adobe Illustrator - Object disappears when saved as jpg/png

Expert: Amy - 10/21/2009

Question
Created a logo which includes two rectangles, an icon and text.  When saved as an ai file, no problem.  When saved as a jpg/png, the most recently added rectangle disappears.  What am I doing wrong?

Answer
Hi Michele.

Open the Transparency window and the Attributes Window.
In Transparency, make sure your rectangle is set to Normal blend mode and not something else like "Screen." And in Attributes, make sure it is NOT set to overprint fill or stroke.

When saving as PNG, make sure you are not making that color transparent.

If it's not that, write me back at AmyLynPace@yahoo.com and send me the file. I use CS3 here so please save down for me =)
