Adobe Illustrator/Illustrator CS3 files saved as JPEG

Question
I work in Illustrator predominately and have 2 clients both experiencing trouble receiving a JPEG file from me. I am MAC based, using Illustrator CS3. I save my illustrator files through save as web device or export and both types of JPEG files don't open on a PC. I have also re-saved the JPEG in preview and that doesn't work with these clients either. Can you provide some information on saving Illustrator files for PC viewers?
Thanks!
Tracey

Answer
Hi Tracey,

Are you e-mailing these files to your clients? Entourage and Outlook have issues with attached files from a mac especially jpgs. Zip the files first then attach them to the e-mail.

If you are giving them a disk, your mac will create 2 files. Say your jpg is called "image". On a PC they will see _image.jpg and image.jpg. The first one with the underscore is bogus. They need to open or download the second one.

There is no special settings for saving out a jpg for PCs.

Thanks

Kevin
