Adobe Illustrator - Outline Mode Problem

Expert: Richard - 11/7/2009

Question
Hi;
I am using Illustrator Cs3 in mac. And while i am working sometimes it gets stuck and turns everything to outline mode.And when i try to change it to the normal mode it gives error. I lost my two work with this matter. First i thought i might have passed the capacity of dots but it doesnt matter whether i use many vectors or not.
Thanks in advance

Answer
While I am not entirely sure why this is occuring I can offer you some advice which may help in the future.

The first one is to save often. I often save a file called logo-unfinished.ai and do all my work on that file, saving it every half an hour or so. This way if everything crashes you don't lose so much.

The second is to try and save some of your CPU processing power. It may be that your mac is struggling to keep up with displaying your work. Check what display performance setting you have, if it is set to high this may be slowing your computer from displaying things properly. If you change it to typical it will help.
