Question
Hi Kevin,

I need to change some artwork done by someone else, it has a  scanned image of some fabric, with different colours in different shapes over the top, but it isn't opacity that has been used, because the texture of the fabric is perfectly clear.  I need to change these colours, but can't work out how to do it in illustrator, I have photoshop if there is a way to do it with that.

Many Thanks,
Ruth

Answer
Hi Ruth,

Illustrator is not the answer as it cannot adjust raster images like this. You will need to use Photoshop and select the colors you wish to change using either the Quick Select tool (CS3/4) or the Magic Wand tool. After you have the color selected, go to Image>Adjustments>Hue Saturation and adjust the hue slider.

Thanks

Kevin
