Question
Hi Kevin,

Hi Richard,

i have scanned a text document using photo-shop. I don't know what format to save to open in Word. The problem is when i open in Word. I end up with like coding information. Can you help me.

Thank you

Brian

Answer
Although this is not an illustrator related question, I will try and help you out.

IF YOU WANT TO EDIT THE TEXT IN WORD:
You must have a scanner which has a text recognition feature. Check your scanner's manual. You will most likely have to scan using the software that came with your scanner and not photoshop.

IF YOU WANT TO PLACE THE SCANNED IMAGE IN A WORD DOCUMENT AS A PICTURE (I.E NOT EDIT TEXT):
In word you can place images in a document by choosing Insert > Picture > From File... The image will be dropped into your word document as a picture. You will not be able to edit text in the image.

I am almost ashamed that I actually know how to do this in word. I need a shower....
