Adobe Illustrator/Unsought image scaling

Question
Hello.
Kevin wasn't able to help, so I turn to you with fingers crossed...

I've tried to expand my print capability by using 13"x36" sheets cut from roll paper on my wide format Epson 1400 printer. Setting up this size on page setup in OSX with Ai CS3 seemed to be a no-brainer, but when what was supposed to be a full coverage page started to print, I saw that the image had been scaled back from 13" wide to about 7.5"; it was proportionately shorter too. I can see nothing that would give me a clue as to why this happens. Even the Epson people were baffled; they confirmed that it doesn't seem to be a printer driver issue. Print previews (thumbnails) show all to be in order, and no scaling options have been activated. Help!

Answer
Not sure why this is happening.
It seems that it is scaling it back to fit a page size which makes me think it may be something in your print dialog box.
In the print dialog box, check media size, and cropping and setup, maybe something there is trying to resize your image.
