Question
QUESTION: Hi,
how is it possible to easy make corners as on the picture attached? I was drawing it by using Pen Tool, but i need to get it perfect and to put a value for radius....
ANSWER: Hi Siv,
You can create an ellipse (circle) and enter a diameter value for this shape by choosing that tool and clicking once on the artboard.
Then align this to the corner of a rectangle shape and open the pathfinder palette. Then select both objects and click the "minus front" under "shape modes". This will give you the desired effect. If you wish to make this permanent, then click the expand button.
Unfortunately, there is no automatic way to create an edge such as this. This is the only way I could figure out how to control the radius as well.
Thanks
Kevin

QUESTION: Hi, and thanks, it works ok. But what do you mean about using expand-button to make it permanent? (I'm sorry i have not yet found out how the help function works (F1), properly, i'm still struggeling to find the help i need...any tip to find good explanation for help will be good!)
AnswerHi Siv,
In the pathfinder palette, after you run the "minus front" button, there is a button labels expand in the palette that you need to press after you run the effect otherwise, you still have a shape hidden in your design. Expand removes that.
