Question
I am wanting to design a logo that I will be using on custom made fishing rods. I've got the layout of the logo done with text, but I can not get the text the color that I want. I'm wanting a rainbowesque style of color but I can't figure out how to achieve it. Any ideas?

Answer
HI Sanders,

You will need to convert the text to outlines via the type>create outlines cmd.

Then you can select the rainbow gradient from the swatches palette. It will apply it in each letter, however if you click and drag the gradient tool across the selected shape, you can blend it across the entire set of letters.

Thanks
