Adobe Illustrator/White Border around JPEG from Photoshop Effect/Texturizer

Question
Hello,

I have an Illustrator CS3 file that I am converting to a JPEG to print as a photo
(not for web). The background is a filled square (no stroke) and is the full
size of the document (8x10).

There is a Photoshop effect on the background square --- Texturizer. When I
convert the ai file to jpeg there is a white border. I am 99% sure this is due to
the texturizer (when I remove the effect, it converts to a jpeg fine).

Question -- how can I keep the effect but lose the white border?
Thank you.

Answer
Miranda,
While the object that contains the effect is selected try:

Object menu/Rasterize...

or

Object menu/Flatten Transparency...

You may have to experiment with the options from the dialogs to achieve the desired effect.
By rasterizing or flattening within Illustrator before exporting to JPEG you can control the appearance the artwork.

Good Luck
