Question
I am using a logo for placement on a webpage. I am wondering how to crop out
the white background on the logo and making it a transparent background.

Hi Blake,
If this is a placed image, you will need to do this in Photoshop. If this is an image created in Illustrator, you can save this out via File>Export>PNG (Png24 to be exact) That supports transparency. You can also save this out as an SVG via the save menu.
