Question
QUESTION: Hi! I received a project made in AI CS3 which contains some
text boxes that don't have the bigger squares usually placed
on the side lines of the bounding box, below the upper left
and above the lower right corner. I can't manage to resize
these boxes. Please tell me how to do it. Thank you - Sandor

ANSWER: Sandor,

QUESTION: Thanks, but unfortunately it isn't the source of the
problem. Actually I CAN see the bounding box, but it hasn't
the two small squares on its sides, as I described above -
in other words it seems to be a picture box and not a text
box. I can modify the text included in this box, but I
cannot modify the box itself. I hope this is a better
explanation of the thing. Thank you again. Sandor

Answer
Hi Sandor,

Sorry for the confusion.

From what you are describing, it appears the type was input as in-line type, and did not use a text frame (they put hard returns in after clicking once instead of dragging out a text frame and inputting text). There is no way to change this other than to redraw actual text frames and copy and paste the text in. You will then have your two extra boxes for a text frame.

Thanks

Kevin
