Question
My client requested a file to be created as an eps with the fonts outlined. The
only image to be placed in the file was a logo (which existed as an eps, tiff,
and ai). I set up job in illustrator, placed the ai logo, and saved file as an
adobe eps file. When you click on the placed logo, all of the type characters
are surrounded by numerous points/nodes. As I understand this, the type is
outlined! When I turned in file, she gave it back and said-we need the fonts
outlined. Am I missing something obvious here?

Hi Mary,

It sounds like the type is outlined to me too! There may be a stray character that could be coming up on your client's computer as missing a font. One quick thing to do to remove any doubt is: open your file, select all, then create outlines (shift+apple+O).
